Long-time St. Clair councillor passes
Dawn-Euphemia to offer scholarship
May 6, 2017
Dawn-Euphemia is planning to help one of its residents go to school.
Council has approved a $1,000 scholarship to be given to a student heading to post secondary education. Students entering fields such as agriculture, firefighting or municipal government will be given priority and Clerk-Administrator Donna Clermont says someone who has been active in the community is also a good candidate.
The family of municipal politicians and staff won’t be eligible and if there is not a suitable candidate on any given year, it will not be awarded.
Council will begin giving out the scholarship in 2018.
