Temporary shelter still needed until more housing is ready

120 new COVID-19 cases in Lambton

COVID-19 did not take a break over the holiday in Lambton County.
Lambton Public Health’s latests statistics show 120 more people have been diagnosed with COVID-19 since New Year’s Eve Day.
The number of active cases in the county – the number of people who are currently sick with the respiratory virus – is 249, up 92. Four people are in hospital with the virus. Thirteen people recovered from COVID-19.
There have also been four new outbreaks declared – four in long term care homes.
Meadowview Villa in Petrolia, North Lambton Lodge in Forest and Village on the St. Clair and Afton Park Place all are dealing with the virus. At Meadowview and North Lambton, there have been residents test positive. The outbreaks are limited to one wing of each of those homes. Two staff members tested positive at Village on the St. Clair.
