Beaulieu remembered as former councillor, community volunteer

February 7, 2021

Petrolia has lost another community leader.

Tony Beaulieu passed away Saturday.

Beaulieu volunteered in a number of areas. He was a baseball and soccer coach and was on the executive of the Petrolia Jets.

He was a reserve officer for the Department of National Defense.

Beaulieu was also a town councillor in Petrolia.

He was an active volunteer with the Petrolia Legion and Lion’s Club.

“You would always find Tony with a smile on his face and the community’s best interests in his heart. Even when his illness was getting the best of him, Tony continued to wholeheartedly lead the Petrolia LEO Club – a youth division of Lions International – in their efforts to fundraise and support their community,” writes his family in an obituary.

Beaulieu leaves behind his wife, Joanne, and four children.
