DeKoning MVP for Killer Bees

Goalie Nolan DeKoning was recognized as the most valuable player by the Alvinston Killer Bees as the team held its end of the season banquet Saturday.

He was given the award by General Manager Brett Case, and Head Coach Joe Rombouts.

The Killer Bees placed seventh in the nine team Western Ontario Super Hockey League with six wins, 17 losses and one tie. Alvinston was knocked out of the first round of the playoffs by the Elora Rock.

Marnie Cumming (right) was also recognized as the volunteer of the year by Vice President Dan Cumming and President Todd Case.

Here are the award winners:

Most Valuable Player – Nolan Dekoning

Best Defenceman – Bayly Fryfogle

Best Offensive Player – Carson Perry

Community Humanitarian Award- Scott Case / Sam MacGee

Most Dedicated/Heart Trophy – Shane Kenwell

Rocky Balboa Memorial Team Tough Guy Award – Dawson Winchester

Volunteer of the year – Marnie Cumming
