Tip leads OPP to Lambton Shores erratic driver

A man from Norfolk County is facing charges after calls to the police about an erratic driver.

Lambton OPP say just after 6 pm June 9, officers got a call about an erratic driver on Lakeshore Road in Lambton Shores.

Police found the vehicle, pulled it over and found the driver appeared to have been drinking. The officers gave a roadside screening test and the driver was arrested for impaired operation.

The 49 year-old was taken to the detachment office where he provided two more breath samples.

The driver has been charged with impaired driving and operating a vehicle while prohibited.

Meantime, a Grand Bend man is facing an impaired driving charge after an accident the next day at 9 am on Timberwood Trail in Lambton Shores.

Police went to the scene of a single car accident and believed the driver had been drinking. After a roadside test, he was arrested for impaired driving and taken to the local detachment for more testing.

The 28 year-old is facing one count of impaired driving.
