Squires and Bees suspended by OSHL after Chantler hit
Federal grant helps make East Lambton Community Complex accessible
October 27, 2023
Lambton-Kent-Middlesex MP Liane Rood and Warwick Township Mayor Todd Case look out over the ice at the East Lambton Community Complex from an accessible viewing area Friday. Rood was in Watford to formally acknowledge the $100,000 grant provided by the federal government to make the ELCC accessible. The viewing ramp, a new accessible change room and accessible doors are among the features making the centre user friendly. In all, Warwick offset the $11.5 million cost of renovating the arena and building the centre with $3.2 million in community donations and grants from the upper levels of government. The rest is being financed through a loan.
