The Petrolia Flyers registered a season high in goals beating the Irish, 10-3 in PJHL action in Lucan on Saturday night.

Seventeen of 18 skaters had at least a point for the Flyers in the win.

Logan Crummy had his first career junior hockey hat trick and added an assist for Petrolia while Tobias Iantorno also lit the lamp three times. It was his first career regular season hat trick with the Flyers but his third overall after recording back-to-back three-goal games against Lucan in the playoffs last season.

Casey Guerette, Noel Sanderson, Dylan Campbell and Andrew Jaques also scored for Petrolia. Isaac Truman, who was recently named Yeck Division player of the month for November, added four assists while Jace McGrail, Parker Davidson, Cameron Davidson and Miller Mailloux each had two helpers.

Theron Morningstar made 31 saves for his seventh straight winning decision with the Flyers.

Meantime, Former Lambton Jr. Sting goaltender Callum Besley made 62 saves and ex-Jr. Sting teammate Donovan Appleford scored four times and added an assist to lead the Aylmer Spitfires to a 7-3 win over the Flyers last Thursday night in Petrolia.

The Flyers outshot the Spits, 65-25 including 28-6 in the final period.

Noah Harse scored twice for Petrolia with Parker Davidson adding the other and provided an assist. It Harse’s first two-goal home ice performance in his Flyers career and his second two-goal performance overall since he scored twice in Lucan last October.

Petrolia has won eight of its last 10 contests and is 15-7-1.

Exeter comes to Greenwood on Thursday to start a very busy weekend for the Flyers. Petrolia heads to Thamesford Friday and takes on the Irish in Lucan Saturday.
