The Independent Lambton OPP are once again warning seniors to be careful of callers claiming to be grandchildren in trouble. In early December, police heard from a Corunna resident who lost $8,500 to scammers. The victim told police they’d received a call from someone they thought was their grandchild. Fewer impaired charges, fewer RIDE checks this Christmas

Lambton OPP conducted about half the RIDE Checks over the 2024 Christmas season as they did in 2023. The OPP released RIDE statistics from across Western Ontario Friday.
